JACK-O'LANTERN HALLOWEEN COOKIES
1 package (1 lb 2 oz) Oreo cookies
1 lb. orange candy melts
Vanilla or chocolate candy melts for decorating.
Melt orange candy melts in top of double boiler over hot water (not boiling). Using tongs, dip each Oreo cookie in melted candy, coating completely. Gently shake each cookie to remove excess coating. Place on wire rack with waxed paper underneath. Dry completely.
Place vanilla or chocolate candy melts in a small plastic bag. Place in microwave and melt on 70% power for 1 to 2 minutes. Squeeze bag to make sure they have melted. Snip off a corner of the bag and draw eyes, nose and mouth on each cookie.
Yield: about 45 cookies.
HALLOWEEN SUCKER GHOSTS
2 dozen Dum-Dum suckers
2 dozen napkins, Kleenex or white paper towels
2 yards white, orange or black string
Black Magic Marker
Place a sucker in the center of a napkin. Wrap the napkin around the sucker. Tie with a piece of string to form the ghost head. Draw eyes and a mouth on each with the marker.
Yield: 24 ghosts
